Geoffrey Arone

Geoffrey is an established entrepreneur and executive. He has raised over $100M to found 6 companies (4 acquisitions, 2 active) and has invested in more than 60 startups over the past 20 years. He is an expert in cryptocurrency investing and regulations and also advises startups, funds, and governments, including the German Parliament.

With a deep understanding of crypto regulations and a proven ability to navigate the complex landscape of blockchain and crypto activities, Geoffrey Arone has raised over $100 million in funding to establish six companies, with four of them subsequently acquired and two remaining as independent entities. Currently Mr. Arone operates Shield3, which provides banks, payment providers, and hedge funds security and compliance protection for cryptocurrency transactions.

In this role Mr. Arone co-developed an AI platform that scores and optimizes Web3 transaction for risk and cost. He also spearheaded the design of a policy and compliance management platform capable of detecting violations, illicit activities, and liquidity issues.

Arone is also involved as a limited partner and advisor to Arrington Capital, a top crypto hedge fund that he cofounded with Michael Arrington in 2018. The fund has hundreds of millions of dollars deployed across more than 200 investments, as well as a liquid trading branch. Mr. Arone was responsible for designing a self-adjusting, market-cap-biased index fund with which he deployed more than $100M in capital and consistently outperformed the market.

Mr. Arone has an Sc.B. in neural science from Brown University and an MBA from MIT.
